Florence Welch sings “You’ve got the love”. Well I’ve LOST the love. For a couple of projects and some fabric that seemed like a good idea at the time… So I’m getting together with Lucy at Charm About You and we are hosting a pair of parties…
We’re calling it You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling
It’s a progressive linky party to cater for all your sad, unloved fabric and projects.
Those of you who’ve been around for a while will be familiar with Lucy’s fugly fabric party. For those who aren’t here’s the general idea…
What do you do with the fabric that you used to love (oh fickle, fickle you!), those FQs that you don’t know why you bought, the WIP that seemed like such a good idea at the time but is now sitting there taunting you, or hiding away at the back of a drawer somewhere? The FUGLY fabric / project?
“But I MIGHT use it!” I hear you cry. “I CAN’T throw it out! Fabric is for life, not just Christmas!”.
Sorry guys, that’s puppies.
What if you could give it to someone else, someone that might actually LOVE it the way it was meant to be loved? Or finish it the way it was meant to be finished before you moved on to the younger, blonder fabric with bigger polka dots? (Oops, no that’s women).
You can make it a giveaway, a competition, a swap, offer to send it to anyone that will pay the postage or put a price on it – whatever you choose.
You have two weeks to organise your sewing space and work out what you are going to
throw offer. This is double the opportunity to clear some room, unburden yourself and share some fabric love. Have a dig around, clear out those bottom drawers, find that FQ you’ll never use or block stuffed under a pile of other stuff!
The linky parties will open on 24th August. They will be open for a week so those of you that want to sve a dig around, clear out those bottom drawers, find that FQ you’ll never use or block stuffed under a pile of other stuff!
So get grabbing these buttons, put them on your blog and spread the word!
We want to bring back that loving feeling.
