TGIFF: Guest post from Red Quilty Girl

I don’t have a finish today. I haven’t been doing this, honestly…

I did send out TGIFF SOS to my friend Janine. Besides her unique sense of direction and her complete inability to leave a place with the same set of items she arrived with, one of the things I love about Janine is that she comes through in a crisis. Even when she’s about to drive 3500km across Australia.

Yesterday I decided I definitely needed a roll up holder for my make up brushes to take with me in the caravan as my better half and I set off for a wee wander across the Nullabor. (From Perth to Cairns)!
A quick Google later and I had the pattern for a Roll-up Makeup Brush Case in my hot little hands. I dashed about looking for fabric, which I found fairly quickly, and proceeded to cut everything out.
It’s a great little pattern, completely free and I think it would have taken a couple of hours at most to complete. I hand sewed the binding today, which made the time it took me to finish a bit longer.
Dashed off to the bathroom and fitted all my make up brushes + some pencils and mascara into my neat little roll-up brush case.

You can find the pattern at and it’s listed under Travel Accessories.
I was in such a hurry I didn’t look at anything else on the sew4home website but I am willing to bet there are some fabulous little projects just waiting to be downloaded.

And there we have it. TGIFF!!!!!!!! Show Janine some love!!
