Medallion Flimsy Finish

So maybe this is a cheaty finish but I’m going to celebrate it anyway!

My modern medallion quilt – as yet unnamed – continues my black, red and white and texty obsession.

Scarlett approves!

These blocks are maybe the easiest of the QCR blocks I’ve done. I’m totally addicted. And quilting it isn’t going to be a hardship. Waiting until other projects are finished might be though!

It’s single-bed size – and I don’t have a single bed, so it really needs to find an owner. I didn’t have enough of the medallion fabric to make it larger.Β It strikes me as perfect for a teenager. Β I hope I can find an owner for it!

Now it’s time to show us your finishes! Please make sure it’s a finish, leave a comment or visit somebody else. Happy Friday!

  1. I love it! We have a lot of single bed size quilts around our house. We’re pretty tall, my husband is 6’6″ and I’m 6′ so they are perfect for lap quilts. I have the quick curve ruler but haven’t braved it yet.

  2. A finished top counts as a finish in my books, Laura. And this is a finish worthy of celebrating! Love the red/black/white theme and those curves are fabulous! Looking forward to seeing how you work your quilting magic on this one!

  3. This is such a bold and STUNNING pattern and love the fabrics you chose! WoW. Very very bold and it definitely speaks loudly without overdoing it. Can’t wait to see it actually completely done!
