In the bag

Goodness me. I’ve actually got some sewing done! I will forgive you if you thought I had disappeared off the face of the earth or thrown my sewing machines out the window. But circumstances have been conspiring to keep me from sewing AND blogging so it was a real effort to pull this one out the bag!

More little scrappy pouches. I had to take the photos twice because I had no card in the camera the first time. That’s how things have been going lately.

I used Vera’s one piece pouch tutorial again combined with Noodlehead’s open wide zipper method. And of course, me being me, there had to be some manic free-motion quilting happening!

I am not sure which is my favourite. It may possibly be this one which has both Kate Spain and Tula Pink and is now on its way to Japan…purplepatch

I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve been making lately. Here’s the linkup!

  1. I surprised the $%^& out of myself that I managed a blog post too 🙂 Love the extra quilty goodness you added and I think the red/pink one is my fav … purple and I aren’t friends. I don’t know what I did to purple, but it just doesn’t like me, especially when I try to sew with it 🙂

  2. Well done you! all I finished on the sewing machine this week was pillow slips from fabric Miss Pink had painted designs onto. (there will be a post on those later)
The project I have posted isnt quite finished, (just stage one) and will need soft furnishings- so any suggestions on how to make rugs, cushions, and two quilts for furniture this tiny terrace would be appreciated.

    thanks for the linky

  4. What cool little pouches! All three are my favorite! I love how you combined patterns to get what you wanted. Very sweet and gorgeous!

  5. Taking a photo without a card reminds me of film days and forgetting film. I remember driving my daughter around on a photo shoot for class only to have her get to class, open her camera, and find it empty. I’m sure some of those photos were wonderful. LOL

My version is that I wrote a blog post that DISAPPEARED. No version of it got saved to drafts. The second draft is much shorter–that might be a good thing.

Your pouches look good. I’ll like the purple one–can’t let it get its feelings hurt. 🙂
