An autumny finish

It’s not autumn here – in fact, we’ve been having some lovely spring weather.  Just look at that blue sky! But for all of you in the Northern hemisphere, is there a fabric that says autumn more than this one of Tula Pink’s?Tulaautumbag2

I simply had to make another Arm Candy bag. I love my squirrels, but they don’t go with everything. And it’s a tad small. But I so loved the Tula/Shot cotton/Arm Candy pattern combination, I had to keep going. Plus I wanted something a bit roomier than my squirrel bag so I  … well, I hacked up the pattern. I cut the pattern in half length and widthwise, added a few inches, totally changed the shape of the top of the bag….

I added an internal zippered pocket. I have to have a zippered pocket in my bags. Ever since my ex-boyfriend’s parents dog raided my bag and trotted through the room carrying a tampon the first time I met his parents, I’ve had to have a zippered pocked. If it’s dog proof, so much the better…

It’s very pretty. It’s not seasonal, but it’s pretty!

Audrey at Glory Be Quilter is hosting TGIFF today, so hop on over and show her some love!

  1. This is beautiful, Laura! Finally we start to have some autum in the Air – still +28c but from tomorrow should be less. I would love to make that pattern. x Teje
