Poinsettia Mini for the Blogger’s Quilt Festival

AmysCreativeSide.com Here’s my second entry for the Blogger’s Quilt Festival. Why not enter more than once? !

Here is my finished QCR poinsettia mini which was a present for my neighbour’s birthday.

Here’s the back. I went back to hand binding. So much nicer… but so much slower… I won’t be hand binding any KS quilts…

I used a shiny Wonderfil thread for the green and absolutely loved it. The MM Fairy Frost was hard to quilt through. Because of the strength of the lighting on the Sweet 16 and the metallic effect, it was really hard to see where I was going. It’s also quite tough material and you could feel it blunting the needle.QCRpoinsettiadetail

Please go over and check out the rest of the lovely quilts over at Amy’s Creative Side. Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Love this little quilt, the feathers especially with the curvy path beside each one. It’s the first quilt I saw when I found your blog, so very glad you’ve entered it! Still très jalouse here in Canada about your trip to La Belle France. ;-)
